Education in Bulgaria

Applicants from both EU and non-EU countries may apply to higher educational institutions in Bulgaria.

• Applicant students from the EU

The persons meeting the following conditions may apply to the universities in the Republic of Bulgaria for all majors, forms of education and grounds for admission:
1.Have completed secondary education, which entitles them to continue their education in higher educational institutions;
2.Have grades in the diploma of secondary education for the respective majors.

• Applicants from non-EU countries

Foreign nationals can apply and study at universities in the Republic of Bulgaria as follows:
- in implementation of intergovernmental agreements on educational, scientific and cultural exchange;
- according to acts of the Council of Ministers
- under the conditions of Art. 95, para. (8) and (10) of the Law on Higher Education
